Champlin's Historical Time Line
- 1838: First land opened for white settlers after negotiation
with the Chippewa and the Sioux.
- 1844: First deed filed in Ramsey County.
- 1852: Permanent settlement of Champlin begins.
- 1855: Ferry service begins from Champlin to Anoka
- 1859: First Town Board meeting and elections held.
- 1946: Village of Champlin, incorporated and split off from
balance of township.
- 1971: Village of Champlin, Township of Champlin, merged
into City of Champlin.
